Hi there! My name is Tiffany, I am truly blessed that you stopped in. Let’s get to the nitty gritty shall we… I am married to the love of my life – my best friend for almost two decades now. Yikes! That just reminds me how old I am getting. My husband and I have grown up together. We consider ourselves truly blessed. He was my high school sweetie pie. We have five – amazing – beautiful children. I am a stay at home mom – cook – doctor – laundry mat – maid. I think you get my drift.
My love for cooking came at a very young age. From the time I learned to read – I had a cookbook in one hand and a medical book in the other. {God knew He was preparing me for motherhood.} I come from a long line of southern hospitality where big food – big company – go hand in hand. I was truly blessed to have my mother and grandmothers show me all the ropes. I learned young that serving your family with love – and good food - brings a deep satisfaction. This grew as I did and spread beyond my family – friends – neighbors and whoever I could help. I have worked in the food business since the age of twelve. My mom was/is a professional cake decorator and I would go to work with her and run the front of the store. I then went on to work for an Italian restaurant until I married Coach. After Coach and I were married -I dabbled in catering and loved the thrill of feeding so many people – and the crunch and pressure of bringing a meal together at the last minute before it’s served. I enjoy reading all sorts of cookbooks just for fun – and learning different cooking techniques. I also love and collect antiques. When I’m all alone – I like to put on my stretchy pants – and eat chocolate or anything lemon. I’m also known to open a 1.5 quart of cookie dough ice cream -grab two spoons – my bestie – and eat the whole carton. Yes – we click our spoons together before we dig in!
You maybe asking: “Why do you call this blog site My Crowded Kitchen?” I am always in the kitchen -always experimenting with a new recipe and being a mother of five children – there is always someone in the kitchen with me – under my feet – pulling at my apron – laying on the kitchen floor. I have many sous chefs let’s just say! I wouldn’t change this for anything – it’s just that my kitchen is always crowded. If it’s not my kids – it’s my kid’s friends. I think that a child should be able to help in the kitchen and that their desires of helping should be nurtured.
Why/how My Crowded Kitchen started:I have a great joy and satisfaction in hospitality and feeding people. I started by putting my recipes all in one place that was easy for family and friends to find – as we are spread out all over the map. It morphed into this. I am passionate about food – always have been. I wanted to blog about something I would never get tired of. Simply put – I am a mom who has a joy – love and passion for cooking – baking and sharing recipes.
I love the Lord, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy. Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live.
The cords of death entangled me, the anguish of the grave came upon me; I was overcome by trouble and sorrow. Then I called on the name of the Lord: “O Lord, save me!”
The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion. The Lord protects the simplehearted; when I was in great need, he saved me.
Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the Lord has been good to you. {Psalm 116:1-7}

Recipes: Unless stated all recipes are property and copyright of My Crowded Kitchen. You will find recipes that have been handed down from several generations. After Honey – my grandmother died – my mother gave me “The Box”. We have recipes that are hand written – typed by a typewriter – clipped out of newspapers and glued to index cards. But my favorites would be my grandmother’s – mother’s – recipes that my grandmother hand wrote on telling the next person who gets “The Box” not to throw these recipes away with her mother’s handwriting on them. Priceless. This is the only possession that was dear to my grandmother’s heart – her mother’s handwriting. Again. Priceless.
Fellow blogger friends – We/I are humbled and honored if you found a recipe you’d like to share with your readers. We ask that you please do not publish the original recipe on your site, however you may provide a link back to My Crowded Kitchen with the picture. Thanks!
